The mission of Trinity Episcopal Day School is to teach Christian values, provide each child with a dynamic learning environment, and encourage those attitudes and abilities that will help each child lead a healthy and productive life.
Trinity Episcopal Day School was established in 2002 as a parish school affiliated with Trinity Episcopal Church. We are licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and accredited by The Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools. We serve children ages 18 months through PreK.
Our school is based on developmentally appropriate curriculum that utilizes learning centers to encourage individual and group activities. Language, math, science, social studies and the arts are included in curriculum planning. Spanish and music/movement are also offered. Staff/student ratios are small, ranging from 1:4 for 18 months to 1:7 for PreK classes. Our staff have degrees in early childhood education or a related field and or/experience in a preschool setting. A minimum of twenty-four hours of continuing professional education is required each year as an aspect of employment.
As an Episcopal school, we have Chapel every day. Geared to a child’s understand, the children’s liturgy combines singing, dramatic Bible storytelling and lessons that model and teach Christian values. Character development and leadership are emphasized through the active roles children take in chapel services. Responsibility, honesty and sensitivity to the needs and rights of others are at the forefront of our Chapel lessons. A monthly service project is a focus of the Chapel experience.
Parent participation is an integral part of Trinity Episcopal Day School. The Parents’ Association includes fellowship, education and opportunities to serve.
